Free · review of your file

Review the I-765 you already filled out, for free.

Before you file: choose your form and we tell you what we found, where each point is, why we flagged it and what the information should look like. The file is read inside your browser and we don't store it. It does not fix a case you already filed and it does not assess your eligibility.

We currently review adult renewals in two categories: (c)(8), with a pending asylum application, and (c)(9), with a pending adjustment of status. PDF, JPEG or PNG · one document at a time. Up to 10 MB and 10 pages. We have verified the field map of the 08/21/25 edition; from another edition, a scan or a photo we read what we can and tell you what was left unchecked.

What's included

Every finding, at no cost.

You see which parts of the file could be reviewed, the points that need attention and how to correct them yourself.

Coverage you can see

We tell you which pages were read, how many fields we looked at, which edition the document is and what was left unchecked.

Every finding

Each inconsistency detected, with its page, part and item when we can identify its location, the reason and the expected format of the information.

Correct it yourself

You download the report, fix your original outside SettleWise and review it again. The free report is not a corrected I-765.

Your file never leaves your device

The review happens inside your browser. There is no upload to a server and no saved copy.

Nothing uploaded

We don't send the file, its name or its contents. When you close the screen, the report disappears; if you want to keep it, you download it yourself.

If you'd rather we guide you

Guided preparation costs $39, a one-time payment: you enter your information, correct the findings and download the completed official form to review and sign by hand. USCIS fees are paid separately.

Try it without an account

The demo uses made-up information, and its PDF carries the mark NO PRESENTAR (DO NOT FILE).

Questions about the review

Where does my file go?

Nowhere. It is read inside your browser, on your own device. We don't send it to or store it on any server, and we don't keep its name or what it says either. If you close the page, the report is lost; you can download it before you leave.

Which files can it read?

PDF, JPEG or PNG · one document at a time. Up to 10 MB and 10 pages. The reader works best with a fillable PDF of the 08/21/25 edition, the one USCIS accepts and whose field map we have verified. From a scan or a photo we extract the text we can recognize and clearly identify uncertain readings.

What does the free review include?

Every finding we detect, with its location when we can identify it, the reason and the format the information should have, plus what could be read and what was left unchecked. You can also download the report and correct your form yourself. If you'd rather we guide you, guided preparation costs $39, a one-time payment.

Is the report a corrected I-765?

No. It is the SettleWise findings report: a list of what we found. It is not an official form, it doesn't fill anything in for you and it is not filed with USCIS.

What if the file is blurry or incomplete?

We tell you. We always separate what could be read from what we found: if a page wasn't read or the reading came out with low confidence, it is shown as such, and no uncertain finding is presented as a confirmed error.

Does it help if I already sent my form to USCIS?

It does not fix a case you already filed. The review is meant for before you send it: it shows you what we found in the file so you can decide what to change. If you already filed, what happens next with your case is handled by USCIS and, if you need it, authorized legal help.

Does it tell me whether I qualify to renew?

No. We don't assess eligibility or interpret your immigration situation. We check the format and consistency of what you wrote on the form against the current official edition.
